So…winter is on it’s way, the nights are drawing in, the temperature is dropping, the wind and rain are on the increase, not to mention the leaves have started to fall rapidly. Oh yes, and Christmas is on the horizon too! Your tender plants will need protection from the frost, gales and driving rain so it would be a good idea to move them into the greenhouse or other sheltered area, or cover them in situ if moving them is not an option for you. If, like us, you love nature then remember that winter can really take its toll on wildlife and so if you have a bird house in your garden, remember to stock this with food and water – the birds would be extremely grateful!

Well… we had some very warm days during September and some wild storms to boot, but, alas, the autumn is now definitely approaching and with it the cooler temperatures. Autumn is a lovely time of year as the trees change colour.
